The Lodge is owned and... read more run by Elma Blokker and her husband Mark Putter. These proprietors have for me set the new benchmark in customer care. Their attention to detail never stops the moment you arrive. Mark is not only a owner but a true renaissance man capable of just about anything. His shop adjacent to the lodge is the ideal spot to store and repair any bicycle. And Mark, is a superb mechanic dedicated to making sure your ride is not compromised in the event your bike sustains air transport damage or more, as mine did. He got me up and riding immediately. Oh, and did I say that there may not be a better location for a bike hotel in France. Yes the Tour rode directly in front of the lodge this year. If you are looking for challenging rides this is one of the bests hotels in which to reside. Elma, his wife was every bit as good as Mark when it came to making sure we fueled up properly for the day ahead. Moreover, she is a motivator who always helped us keep our spirits up, even when the weather turned a wee bit foul. If you want a cycling week of fun, challenge, and fellowship this is the lodge for you....
